Los Angeles, Aug 2, 2012 – In its forum on Soundsonline.com, EastWest Sounds president Doug Rogers announced that beginning the week of August 6, 2012, beta testing would begin on PLAY 4, their proprietary sample library engine.
According to Rogers, this is a major upgrade that’s been in development for over a year. Some third party components that were problematic on some systems have been removed. The streaming engine has been improved as has overall performance and efficiency. The PLAY 4 update adds a mixer page, background loading, and more advanced instrument properties, along with other improvements. The new PLAY 4 is backwards compatible to PLAY 2 and PLAY 3 libraries.
Applications for public beta testing will be announced at a future date.
